Someone please fix my head

It's haircut time again and in reflection, my last two haircuts have been colossal failures. I have not cared for the last two months and just went with "whatever", and "whatever" hasn't gotten me any positive attention during that time.
But the last two haircuts is just part of a long history of bad haircuts, as this video from August 8, 2006 demonstrates.
It has gotten to the point where if I don't put any sort of product in my hair (namely pomade) then I end up looking like Moe from the Three Stooges with a beard. It's horrible, and I need to come out of the gate with a good look this time around.
So now I turn the keys to the hair on my fat head over to you. I need image links, drawings, or whatever you can find that demonstrate which is the best haircut for me and why.

Okay. First of all, your kid is stinkin' adorable.
How short is too short? I have some ideas, but they're pretty short.
@Rhiannon Anything as short as the sides and back of my head in the 2006 video is probably too short for me.
Okay, the haircut in the video was pretty heinous - more so in the back than in the front.
Last week I got my hair cut and ran into this scene at the barber shop while waiting for my barber:
An skinny old redneck (age circa 67-70) was just finishing up his haircut from his barber.
While thumbing through the Motor Trend, I heard him say something about "it's not going to help it grow back." At first, I thought he was joking about his thinning hair. But then it escalated into a full-scale argument with the barber. I looked at the guy, and sure enough, his hair was uniformly cut to about 1/8" all over. He had pretty thick hair for someone that age with no bald spots at all. But it was cut extremely short.
He told the barber that he'd wanted "a number 2", and that when the barber asked if he wanted "a number 2 all over" he assumed that the barber knew what he wanted.
He left without paying. Fortunately, he didn't return with a handgun.
