Many of us let a positive opportunity slip here or there because we fear the outcome. What if they say no? What will they think of me? What if they don’t like it/me? These are just a few of the negative thoughts our inner monologue feeds us.
Crippled in fear and or doubt, the chance passes and you’re left with a more painful what if: What if I had tried?
You’re projecting those negative “what ifs” upon yourself. Stop doing it. Give your inner monologue a new talking point. I will not fear the outcome.
Find a quiet moment and just say it to yourself. Again. And again. I will not fear the outcome. Keep saying it until you’re ready to bust out of the gate and make the attempt.
Today is your day.
